Shiraz/Cabernet/Cinsault/Mourvedre/Grenache/Carignan The aromas are perfumed, peppery, spicey, smokey and exhibit ripe red fruit notes. As always the palate texture of this style of wine is supple, smooth on the entry but with enough grip to end dry and refreshing. In the mouth the texture and fineness of fruit tannin and drinkability of the wine is immediately evident.

The aromas are brooding with complex notes of pepper, liquorice, perfume and black cherries. The palate entry is quite dense with lavender and dark berry fruit. The finish is dry with well spread tannins ending with savoury and currant flavours. Not as forward as the 2006 but I anticipate that this will be a wine that will gain much complexity in the years ahead.

Cabernet Sauvignon 64%, Merlot 18%, Cabernet Franc 18% Intense brick red dark colour. On the nose the wine expresses intense Cedar, herbaceous spiciness and lots of wild berries and black olive aromas. On the pallet the full rounded feel of the well ripened tannins slowly gives way to roasted almonds, vanilla and coffee flavours, and another hit of wild berries on the aftertaste. Decanting when young will give more pleasure and aroma.
