The olives are hand picked at optimal ripeness and cold pressed on the day of harvest to give a top quality olive oil with low acidity. Barton olive oil is a natural product. When the temperature drops below 7 degrees centigrade the oil may go cloudy. Once it warms up, this cloudiness will clear. Olive oil is a preservative. Ideal storage is at a constant 14 degrees centigrade. Avoid storage in direct sunlight and heat. Barton’s olive oil is a blend of Frantoia, Lechino, Coratina and Mission olives producing an oil with an aroma of freshly cut grass, a fruity flavour in the mouth with a hint of pepper which continues to the after taste.
