Grenache Blanc - an orange wine. This wine underwent spontaneous fermentation on the skins, this lasting three weeks. Maturation was in second-fill oak.
Yellow peach, apricot, spice and a subtle nuttiness. Really flavoursome, well balanced and nicely pithy on the finish. Not part of the standard range but a “Project of Passion” according to the cellar and this sums it up well.
Shiraz/Mouvedre/Grenache A well-balanced and complex blend. Named after winemaker's father, Toeloe Basson. A strong, full bodied character leading the way. Aged for 14 months in French oak.
White Blend Sauvignon Blanc/Chardonnay (unwooded) made by the Hamilton Russell family. Bottle age adds complexity and harmony. Chardonnay is fermented in clay amphoras. Food friendly, textured, mineral vitality and savoury length.
