A classic barrel fermented Chardonnay made from this noble variety. Further maturation in French oak barrels for ten months together with batonnage (lees stirring) gives this wine a suppleness on the palate balanced with citrus zest and almondine brioche . This wine can be enjoyed now or aged further if required.
Food suggestions include oysters, crayfish, smoked salmon and chicken salad.

White Blend Sauvignon Blanc/Chardonnay (unwooded) made by the Hamilton Russell family. Bottle age adds complexity and harmony. Chardonnay is fermented in clay amphoras. Food friendly, textured, mineral vitality and savoury length.
