We were lucky enough to visit the Cape in March this year and our first visit took us to Annandale Wines.
This farm dates back to around 1688 and is the oldest farm in the Helderberg Valley. You can sense the history from the moment you drive up to the barrel cellar.
The farm is far from the usual manicured lawns, pristine white buildings and slick signage one normally associates with visits to wine farms.
