Artichokes and Asparagus.
More of a tropical fruit styled wine. On the nose you’ll get aromas of apple, pineapple and peardrops mixed in a wonderful balanced way. The palate has a soft acidity, so little more relaxed than younger Sauvignon blancs, because it tank and bottle aged. The wine is relaxed and approachable, but with a lingering freshness and minerality. Quantity:
Bobotie and Chicken Korma.
The world’s first White Pinotage! Our first vintage of this wine was in 2007.
“The paradox of this wine is that the eye belies the other senses! Making white wine from red grapes using South Africa’s unique Pinotage grape. Whole bunch pressing prevented the juice from obtaining colour from the skins. Barrel fermented and matured for eleven months with lees stirring gives this wine a slightly creamy, nutty character to balance the tropical pineapple fruit and banana flavours.”
Poultry and pork dishes.
Bright in colour with flavours of limes and apples on the nose. The palate is medium bodied, well balanced and is lifted by a mineral freshness. Textured in its structure, thewine is rounded off by a long rich finish.
Lamb chops or Fillet Steak with pepper sauce

This wine has a rich deep ruby colour. Velvety tannins support a luscious fruitcake bouquet underlined by spice and sour cherries. On the palate, the wine is full bodied with a lingering nutty finish.

Eekhoring is Afrikaans for "squirrel", and an exciting new collaboration between us and the talented guys behind De Kleine Wijn Koöp in Stellenbosch, South Africa. It's a Cape blend made in a relatively light-to-medium bodied sort of style. It had a very light press, giving it just enough 'grip', not too much. Think of it like a soft, flavourful minute steak just lightly seared, with a few good cracks of black pepper. Not a shy retiring type but most certainly a red of the 'session' sort. The ultimate braai red, if you will. Only a few thousand bottled produced in this debut vintage.
Salads & fish dishes
Sauvignon Blanc/Viognier
An upfront, tropical array of green guava, juicy white peach, pineapple and orange blossom with a hint of citrus.
Ham, pork & pasta dishes
Onion skin in colour with a fruity nose. Soft and elegant with cherries and raspberries on the palate with a prolonged aftertaste.
Roast Chicken & Spicy dishes
The grapes were fermented in a mixture of stainless steel and old oak barrels. It has the hallmarks of the great Chenin-based Cape white blends: a textural, multi-layered, crisp, with floral aromas, some beeswax, then plush stone fruit on the palate, finishing dry and long.
Beef Stew
Medium to full bodied with spicy black cherry and black berry fruit, chewy savoury mid palate and evident wood flavors. The wine has a well- rounded mid palate with creamy berry flavours which carry through to the finish of the wine where they are supported by soft tannins.
Beef or lamb.
Subtle taste of black berries, plums and a deep earthy taste.
Plums and raspberry with hints of dark/mint chocolate. This wine has an elegant structure making it approachable and ready to drink. A wine for all occasions.
Almost all red meats
Cinsault, Syrah, Pinotage.
